Description

The Peavine Ranch (also known as the Fielding-Hixson-Anderson Ranch) was on the northern slopes of Peavine Mountain in the 1800s. This was a cattle and sheep ranch near modern-day Stead. The ranch house and living quarters were located along the old highway to Susanville. Today the address is 11220 North Virginia Street. This building was a cottage for ranch workers. The buildings on the ranch still exist today.
