Virginia and Truckee Railroad Caboose #24 is seen here parked in front of the old stone enginehouse in Carson City. One of the enginehouse's doors can be seen to the left. In this picture the caboose had not yet been painted and lettered for the Virginia and Truckee, so this is most likely when the engine first arrived in Carson after being purchased form the Nevada Copper Belt Railroad in the Mason Valley.
